GOUT is caused by having too much acid in the body - and experts claim making one small change to your diet could help prevent painful attacks of the condition.
The juice of one or two lemons - which cost on average 12p each - should be added to water and drunk regularly every morning, experts suggest.Dr Sarah Brewer said: “People with gout are often advised to drink lemon juice in water to start their day.“Lemons are a good source of vitamin C, which helps to lower uric acid levels to prevent gout attacks.
