As a strike of Iberia personnel looms for a week in mid December (14th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st), the company has admitted that, without a serious restructure, it could disappear within months. Antonio Vázquez, president of both IAG and Iberia, says that the airline is losing more than a million euros every day and favours plans to let go of 4,500 employees, some 25% of its workforce.
